Default 09-13 8.6" 10 Bolt Diff

Has anyone built theirs? What parts did you use? Was thinking about getting Moser chromoly axels, harden diff cover. Already have factory LSD with 3.55 gears,Calvert Bars, really don't want to spend the money on fully built moser diff. Thanks

How much horsepower and torque are you trying to put through it? This is essentially the same differential in our 1980s Buicks and we put over 500 horses and even more torque through them with no problems.

Currently 530/520 on 10 psi upping the boost to 15 psi and adding direct port meth system to the truck.

Adding the Moser axles will certainly beef it up at that power level. But look for fellas with direct experience doing this in a truck, I did it in cars 25-30 years ago.

I did a Detroit Locker and T/A cover and that's it. Takes regular 600rwhp beatings with 315/60 ET Street pro's. No signs of stress on the axles splines.

3.73 Gears. Only things I notice with the Detroit is there's a bit of sway in the rear from it engaging when I'm lightly on and off the throttle and once in awhile it'll make a pretty significant snap sound, usually when I let off the brake after pulling up to a red light. Other than that it's fantastic, no ratcheting around turns and 100% locked when it see's power so you need to be mindful of that on curves on the highway.

That is the cover I ordered.
