Default 08 Denali, fuel line rust?

The drivers side lines near the cross member. The lowest one on the frame near the ground in the plastic holder has a good amount of rust.

Can I splice in a length of good fuel line in the manner I've made brake lines in the past using the flare tool? Would there be too much pressure and seal issues?

Any better ways to fix it?

Best bet would be to replace it if its that bad... Could repair it, but its not as easy to find the proper size line for fuel lines as it is for brake line.

Those kits are $$ and then I'd have to drop the fuel tank. It looks like I *could* get away with a 5 inch straight piece of tubing.

3/8'' OD tubing right? I found some copper-nickel tubing on Ebay.

What fittings can handle the pressure?
