Default 07 Silverado 5.3 swap

Hey guys new guy here i know it's been ask before please just point me in the right direction, as all I can find is for the older trucks, Anyways how hard would it be to swap a 5.3 into a 07 Silverado v6 (new body style) I found a extremely clean and cheap low mile one owner, and there willing to work with me on a trade I'm pretty mechanically inclined I've H/C/I swapped f bodies and currently swapping a lq4 based t6 s480 turbo 408 into my other f body. The junk yard here has plenty or 99-06 v8 trucks sitting around can get a 5.3 for about $400 and already have a lot of spare ls parts laying around,I've seen threads on the swap for the older body style but not the newer one I know most people will say it isn't worth it but this truck is clean and low miles and I'm actually benefiting from getting as I'm getting out of a high monthly payment by trading and the v8s here carry a pretty big premium, I'm not after a race truck or power house, and I don't care about resale value, just simply a 5.3 I can put a exhaust and maybe a small low lift cam on and call it a day, thanks everyone. And again I apologize for the noob beginner question I'm new to the fourm but not cars.

You could swap in a older GEN 3 motor with computer but nothing else is going to work. Everything on the NNBS GMT-900 is canbus so no bcm, no tcm, no a/c etc etc because nothing would be able to talk to each other. You'd also need a stand-alone dash/gauges too.

I don't know every detail about swapping in a V8, like motor mounts, cross members etc etc but I do know that you'll want to find a 58x GEN 4 V8 to make it easier.

Yeah I know I will need to find a 58x wheel gen 4 motor as the older gen3 ones are 24x like ls1, lq4, ect. but I'm not sure how much in the trucks actually gotta be changed I know on the older ones if you got the same year motor and wiring harness it was for the most part plug and play then having the pcm reflashed to v8 while keeping your vin, motor mounts, radiator, fans, fuel line, tq converter possibly crank spacer for tranny? and a few other things gotta be changed as well but that wouldn't be to bad I think it would be a fun project except for the computer on the truck I'm not familiar with all I've ever owned and worked on was my 98-02 camaros.

Get v8 frame mounts and motor mounts (make sure you get the frame mount that matches your setup so 2wd for 2wd etc.)

Everything else is the same. Drops right in. Ac line routing may be a tad diff but thats it. use v8 harness and fuse box and comp and youre done.

A 4x4 will have an aluminum motor while a 2WD will have a cast iron motor. If flex fuel and 4x4 it will be an LC9.

What exactly are you trying to do? The CanBus is part of the electronic architecture of your truck. What generation engine did you swap into your Gen IV GMT900?
