Good to know, nearest E85 is about a hour away for me then haha. I try to avoid Tampa like the plague, my wife bribes with with La Teresita in order for me to go there, unless it's a Busch Gardens day!
Got fuel at the 7-11 there at County Line Road/19 Friday morning when I popped my Frost tuned PCM back into my truck, $2.57 for 87, $3.17 for 93...

YES you will notice a difference porting the heads. A big difference. It's not crazy for a LS to gain 30-40 hp from heads, on any fuel. Add that to the cam that will give you around 40 too. Then do 93 for another 15-20

Keep in mind when you go to 93 octane you can add considerable timing which increases your fuel mileage. Porting the heads and making them more efficient will also help mpg, the cam wont help mpg though so you'll have a wash in there somewhere. If you stay with a small cam the mpg loss may be very minimal and possibly not noticeable.

On my 2004 truck I gained between 2 and 3 mpg going from stock tune to a 93 tune, no other changes at all. The exact same route I took to work I was getting upper 13 - 14 mpg, after the tune it was in the low 17 mpg range. Everything the same except a tune for 93 and running 93.

If you do heads cam and 93 tune you'll have a different animal when you are done.

You'll never say man I wish I wouldn't have ported my heads, but you will say man I wish I would have.
