Who are the best cam grinders?

Looking for a list of people to call for recommendations for a cam.

I don't think the grinder matters nearly as much as the amount of development time put into the combination.Since not many of us have the resources to do a proper engine development program, you are better off using a proven combination.Ask a engine builder that you trust, what they suggest.A cam grinder can only guess what you might need, unless they have invested the actual development time both on the street and on the dyno.

Call Futral Motorsports, they can point you in the right direction.

I went with them.

The best cam grinders are the ones that like to keep their specs secret....Duh, I thought we all knew that. :eyes:

Ok, sorry. I had to. :jest:

I have a Cam Motion custom grind and I have no complaints. Whitt1 hit the nail on the head. :)

Just an FYI Mike ones of Jones Cam Designs has spent alot of time on the dyno for GMPP and has some dyno charts to back up his grinds might give him a call.

I got laughed at when I call thunder racing about putting the tr220 or 224 in a truck they said "why in the hell is everyone trying to put big cams in trucks, it will never work" this was a couple years ago. I called comp and got mixed recommendations. After that I started using the search button and studying cams, Kano really got me insterested in cam theory. Now Im too the point where the only cam Ill ever point in another engine of mine is one of my own, especially since it costs the same. Id start reading and asking questions then make your own cam.
Its funny my tuning experience came as a result of the same thing piss-poor service so I learned how to do it myself.

Do it yourself you get alot more satisfaction and knowledge, in the end its more than worth it.
