Where to get cluster reprogrammed?

I called around to all the local dealerships and they all said that they couldn't do it in house and had to send it off. I know some of you had a local dealership do it so if you've had it done let me know where at and what you paid. Thanks!!

Yeah, I got my cluster from the parts guy at my dealership (I get parts cheaper there than online) and he had the programming done from the distributor. Sorry.

Anybody else? I talked to AERtech.com and they wanted $50, which is fair, but they wanted to keep the old cluster...

sotelectronics dot com
get the phone number from their website, they even sell new clusters. all they require is a recent shop ticket faxed to them including your mileage, VIN and engine hours and they'll program it and send it on over. They did my Denali Cluster for me.

technicar, its in FL though. I got lucky and there just happened to be a location in GA not far from me when I swapped my cluster.

Why the need to change clusters?

Thanks.

possibly to upgrade to SS, Denali, Esky style guages, and to gain Tranny temp guage setup.

that was my reason, I just wanted the upgrade with the tranny temp gauge in the stock cluster... plus it's just different

RoosterMcCandles 10-14-2006 12:56 PM

For the tranny gauge and because it looks 1000 times better than the stock one...

ohohsilverado 10-15-2006 08:16 PM

just dont get screwed like i did. "autocraft electronics" programmed mine and programmed the tranny gauge to not work:eyes: (i checked it working beforehand) after i told em i needed it and then wouldnt reprogram it to work again and refused to give me any of my money back, just told me they couldnt help me. be sure whoever programs it doesnt screw you like that. they asked me why i wanted the tranny gauge to work when the truck didnt come with one?:eyes: :bang: :bang:
NEVER USE "AUTOCRAFT ELECTRONICS" IN FORT WORTH. SERVICE SUCKS AND THEY DONT SEEM TO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING.
