Wheels came!! 20" replicas with 295/40r20 Nitto 555 G2

Thought Id share my old beater. I had a really hard time finding more than one truck with this wheel/tire combo, crossed my fingers and pulled the trigger anyway, and it worked out!! No rubbing at all at this height. Truck has 2" drop shackles.

Up next is 2" (or 3" whatever makes it level) drop springs for the front and 3" leafs for the rear, remove badges and moldings, smoke headlights and tail lights, paint front bumper and grille.

Already has a HD2 80e swapped in, ready for the cam/turbo/fuel system after that.

Drop spindles will keep the ride the same up front if you don't want springs. I'd do a flip kit over drop leafs.

That is a good tire size for a 2/4 drop. I recommend spindles in the front and shackle/hanger in rear unless you are intentionally wanting a firmer ride from the drop springs.

Yea Im kinda on the fence as far as how Im gonna drop it. I get a really good deal through work so for the 250ish bucks i spent on this kit, its worth a shot. If it rides like shit ill just go another route. Oh, Im getting shocks as well so maybe that'll help with the ride. A flip kit would be too low but i could put lift shackles on it to get it right, that just seems like the most expensive way to do it. Might end up doing it that way but we shall see. Ive heard so many mixed reviews about different methods that i just decided to do a little R&D myself.

Ill keep yall posted.

My truck is already kinda "floaty" ? for lack of a better term.. Im pretty sure the shocks are beat but the kit will be here tomorrow so ill throw it on this weekend and we shall see. I actually wouldnt mind a firmer ride.
