I agree, if they work great then no nee dto spend $$$ for nothing.

I just didn't know they had adjutsable rebound only like that.

I use Comp.'s adj. drag shocks on my car on all 4. They work pretty damned good, even on the street they're not too scary. I'm sure I'll have some wheels up action soon, if I can get it to hook on the hose.

I do like them a lot though, the only complaint I have is that you have to remove them to adjust them. Small price to pay I guess.

The front shock is the most important as far as adjustability goes. You want to be able to control the rebound loose yet keep the compression kind of tight. Most regular adjustable shocks adjust both rebound and compresison at the same time. That's not what you want for a drag vehicle.
I think you got that backwards. The rear shocks are way more important for weight transfer than the front. I think just removing the sway bar in the front and having some older (worn out) shocks will be a noticable improvement.

Actually I don't. That's why you find 90/10, 70/30 etc shocks for the front and almost all of them are 50/50 for the rear. You don't want the rears to compress too easy or else all your front end weight transfer will just mush the rear suspension down and not PUSH the tires into the ground. Rebound should not be altered much either as you'll get more bounce and it really doesn't do anything for you in a drag situation. I think you are confusing the use of 6cyl springs on V8 cars for the rear to squat more.. I've tried that and seen it done and unless your shocks are dials in right or you use an air bag it makes for a very UNSMOOTH ride. LOL

You want the soft rebound on the front shocks so that when you launch you can more easily lift the front of the car off the ground because the weight of the wheels and brakes are not initially impeding the upward movement. The compression stays firm so when you come down you don't crash into the ground and or bounce down the track.

This is how it was done while I raced Mustangs and Lakewoods were the bomb.. I don't see it changing at all since vehicle dynamics have not changed. Besides, I even called QA1 to ensure this was the best plan for my truck so I wasn't heading in the wrong direction. That's why i was going to use the Drag shock up front and the regular shock in the rear.

Does that make it any less relevant? All im asking is will the 2735 be the right choice for a rear shock?

Umm yes. Most or all of the guys who were part of this thread are no longer active on the site. Also 10 years of new products and technology have come into play. I'd recommend starting a new thread or searching for some more current threads on the subject. That way you will probably get some better answers to your questions.
