What tonneau cover do you recommend on a 05 1500 reg cab 6.5 bed?? regency with wing!

I have an 05 silverado regency rst and not many bed covers will fit since I have that wing on the tailgate. Do you recommend one anyone out there thanks!!

I dont really want to go fiberglass since it can only go up so high if i need to put my motorcycle in the bed or something.

How much do u like that wing? If it wouldn't bother u to remove it, it'd open your choices up. But I'll guess u wanna keep it. Figure out, soft or hard tonneau? Also, what state do u live in, as it affects availability & some other things. Budget on a tonneau would help too.
Oh ya, how often do u have your motorcycle in there or what do u use your truck bed for? Answer these, & u may get some decent replies. I'll check back in after u give a better idea of what fits your needs.

remove the wing....there are some hardcovers that have the wing molded into them so you will still have the look

I had the same problem. I have a Joe Gibbs, and did not want to remove the wing. I bought a Leer, and removed the area that curved over the back of the gate. I just primed it and blocked it out. Hopefully I will get it painted this week. When it was on the truck, I could open the gate or the top at any given time. When I get it painted I will post pics for you.

email me some photos of that moded leer one. Honestly I'd like to do fiberglass but then i am limited how high the cover will riase up. with a folding aluminum one it seems that may be the way to go in black.

I want to keep the wing that is staying on.

The bike may be in the bed twice a year, but i do use the truck for trash and waverunner parts and stuff. It is coated with linex and ontop of the linex so it doesnt get scratched is a rubber mat.

I own an 04' RST (reg cab) and I had the same issue. I did not want to remove the spoiler as that is what makes this truck/model distinctive. After going to a local truck shop, we found one that worked. It is a soft tonneau cover by Truxedo. It actually butts up to the spoiler so you don't have to remove it and it keeps anything in your bed dry when needed. It's even easier to roll up when you need to use the whole bed! After 3 yrs, I am really pleased with the cover and it's condition (BTW, I live in California so it does not get exposed to severe weather and it is always garaged both at work and at home). :usa:

I have the extang tuff toneau( old saber) Love it. It is a soft top that uses a lip to hold it down rather then snaps..

i would say definitely keep the spoiler, if your going to remove the RST parts whats the point in owning one? wouldnt a flush mount bed cover fit? the are designed to sit flush with the bed rails, or would the extra thickness of the spoiler cause an issue. what ever you do dont but a fiberglass cover that goes over the wing, they look TERRIBLE...

bringing this one back up. I called extang and they say the RT is the lowest and most flush in the industry and will work with the spolier. It is not a snap its velcro. Iam going to install next weekend hopefully on my 05 regency rst
