Default Water pump thread cover CNC

I did the e-fan swap on my Yukon a year ago (this site was very helpful for info), and the threads on the water pump had an unfinished look that bothered me.
I designed and refined a thread cover that cleans up the look a lot. Currently a fair amount of machining is involved in making these.

I am curious if there is any interest in these thread covers? I have a couple on ebay currently, search for "Water pump thread cover".

That's pretty sweet I won't lie. I am sure someone would pay for that especially on something like a show truck or what have you.

There was guy on here in the past that made some. I think some were raw and some where powder coated or anodized.

I believe he had 2 types, 1 smooth and 1 with hex flats.

Found the person I was thinking of. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-plugs-552234/

This guy also made a version of the smooth style. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...delete-545607/

That being said. I don't know if either still make or sell them or if they were even worth the hassle. Not trying to discourage you, I just don't know what the market is for this item.

I am sure if had a few options like no logo or maybe a few different options for logos, it may help.

That's why I decided to post on here, not sure what the interest level is on these covers. Thanks for the links, I remember seeing the round style in the past. I made my original over a year ago and have been tweaking the design off and on, and making a few extra for ebay, they seem to sell. I currently have the logo and LS engraving on ebay, no engraving would be easy to do also.

Any suggestions for engraving?

I imagine someone would have to give permission for that. Also, the fine detail may not turn out so good in a 1.3" flat surface.

I think it looks great. I own one of the previous versions. I had a black one and now a raw one. My only suggestion is that yours is on the large side. Maybe a bit smaller.

That's funny. I started designing mine because the smaller diameter versions looked too stubby to me. I was going for something more aesthetically pleasing, at least to me.

Also, "LS" engraved version now on ebay.

$100, is too rich for me. I don't know enough to comment on that, but it looks great, and I could see how the machining justifies the price.

My engine bay looks worse than yours. It would be one big shiny part in a bay of dirt, with a logo I would never see. I think @RedXray is the only person with a clean enough engine bay these wouldn't look out of place in.

Not trying to bash, GOOD LUCK with your sales. I think this is pretty cool when people create products to improve something like this. (I probably still couldn't afford it, but the only other thing that is aluminum under my hood are the heads. Black is what most things are. If black was an option at a cheaper price, (no logo) , I think you might have more interest, but that's just my opinion).
