Default truck acting up after spark plug change ??

yesterday i relpaced my plugs and wire on my truck ( 01' silverado 5.3) . i put in some ngk platinum plugs with some taylor wires. before the change the truck was driving fine, but afterward the truck started acting up. the truck turns on ok but when i give it gas it hesitates and vibrates. when i accelerate the truck the check engine light begins to flash.
ANY IDEAS ON WHAT COULD BE WRONG ?

bad plug or wire. make sure all of your plug wires are seated all the way. you should feel a click on the spark plugs themselves and 2 clicks on the coil packs. what did you gap the plugs to?

the only time the service engine light will flash is on missfires. if everything is seated right on the plug wires try swapping your old wires back on to eliminate a bad taylor wire.

check the plugs see if any of them are wet, or if they are all whiteish, or light brown...

or take pics so we can see

are they the V power tr55's? if so they come pregapped at .060 which shouldnt be a problem. i gap mine at .055. .060 should be fine though. try trading the factory wires in and see if it still does it. if it does you have a bad plug somewhere.

check and be sure that you didn't accidentally break a plug, i've cracked the insulation before and it did the same thing.

odds are the tips wher ehte plug wire go are comming unscrewed this happened to me for about 20k miles and it drove me absolutely nutz i tighten them and they loosten within 3k miles and back and fourth

if you used di-electric on the plug wires you might have also pushed some into the end where the wire is (it should only be on the boot)

i've also found that most of the coil connectors on the wires i bought had to be retracted before installation, there is a 2 piece deal that slides over the conductor and retains it for a tight connection
