Default Tech question

I had my Speed Engineering long tube headers installed about 7 months ago with a Black Bear tune. Today I got a service engine soon code for a bad O2 sensor so I ordered two new ones. When I looked under the truck I noticed the exhaust shop that installed the headers left the third O2 sensor that plugs into the y-pipe. Can I just unplug and delete that one? I thought the rear two got tuned out?

Secondary question, if I can delete the y-pipe O2 sensor - how do I cap off the hole?

Thanks ahead of time fellas

No reason for the other o2 unless it's running a wideband fuel/air gauge. My SE (true dual) came with a plug in the Y pipe. If you don't have a wideband sensor in the Y they may have used one of your old downstream o2's as a plug (if the new Y pipe was missing the plug) Is the other o2 connected to any harness?

No, the exhaust shop unplugged the 4th one. I didn’t even realize they had plugged the 3rd one into the y-pipe. I think I’m just going to unplug the y-pipe one after I’ve replaced the front two and see what the engine does. I saw a few O2 sensor plugs on Amazon so I’ll probably go that route to cap the hole.
