Default Still cant use my laptop for HPT...............

I have bought every kind of serial port adapter they make and i still cant get my damn HPT to work. I'm using a Mercury PCMCIA serial card now and i can get my Carchip to work fine, but the tuner still won't read. WTF is up with this thing? I am at the end of my rope with this stupid thing. What kind of adapter does everyone else have, and how does it work?

I know the tuner cable is fine because it works just fine on a buddys computer.

What is it saying. I bought a PCMCIA card first and it wouldnt connect at all. I then out of frustration just got one of the Keyspan adapters and it works perfectly. Have you sent an email and told them of the problem? Didnt you already make changes? Timing and fuel??

This is the reason. I baught a laptop with a serial port exclusively for tuning. Have you tried the Prolific usb to serial adapter? Many people have used it and obtained good results.
