Step Side/Sport Side

Just wondering. Did GM stop making the step side trucks? I didnt see them on the chevy website.

Does anyone know the weight difference between a step side and a fleet side? (Say both new from factory with same options only the bed difference)

About a year ago I was at a dealership and over heard two salesmen saying that in the next couple of years there will be no more Stepside models produced from any auto maker. They also said that there will be no more extended cabs from any auto maker either, only crew and regular cabs. I figured they were just Bs'ing around, but maybe it was true?

I seriously doubt that is true.
