Stepside, it keeps the truck lighter because you have fiberglass bed parts. And I think it looks cleaner on trucks that are lowered and sporty. BTW, dont you have a 4.3?

i love 99 and up stepside beds . i had a 94 with a stepside an chnged it . to boxy of a truck for a curvy assend u know . and i hated the rear steps how they bulked out . only way i like them on a obs is a rear step sahver kit with a rollpan but then still the overall design of the truck was boxed and the bed had huge curves .

i dunno, but stepsides sometimes look funny with denali clips because the front of it looks too bulky. i think fleetsides look cleaner and flow more with the truck especially when they're lowered. I do like stepside Z71 trucks though.

Weight factor it's not might, I think it's like a 5-20 lb difference...
and Yes I currently have a 4.3 =/
But I actually plan on doing a Duramax swap in the next year or 2.

Right Now I need to get money... me = poor. Saving up for a 4/6 drop which I'm getting the end of this month. Well I'm really getting it on my B-day Nov 1st.

Stepsides look good, but fleetsides look better. I say trade w/ him and you'll also have '03 tails.

Man... I was really about to tell my girlfriend's brother that I wanted the fleetside...
Then I saw these pics on another forum... 99 Silverado 4/6 with 20"s...

One of the things I really don't like about the sportside is that I can't shave the bed rails... I hate the black cap but I don't know what else to do...
I plan on getting a different tonneau cover if I keep the sportside (one that isn't so bulky). But if I get the fleetside I was planning on a Sprint Flushmount Tonneau.

A duramax swap huh? Wow I never thought Id hear someone put a diesel motor in one of these trucks. Great. Those things are torque monsters, I hear that can't rev much tho. Well good luck man, cant wait to see something different.
