the car is really dorky and cheap looking. BUT saying that, the motor and turbo/intercooler are top notch. guys have run big boost on that car for a little while with great results. teh 8 second sponsered prostock version of that car is still on stock block, crank, and rods!
pros and cons. looks like there is more left in the combo as the peak never came down and the clutch let go, BUT they were spraying nitrous oxide into the intercooler. so it isnt on boost alone truely. i hate when guys do that since it isnt real life. ohwell. that is dyno racing.

Whenever I think about owning a Dodge I feel like spiders are crawling over me. I don't care what the hell it is. As I've quoted before, "Sewer Rat may taste like pumpkin pie but I'd never know because I wouldn't eat the filthy mo fo!"

I just test drove one of these today, cause I am looking for a sports car that gets good gas mileage, and that would be fun.
Honestly this thing is fast as hell in a straight line, and was the funnest to get on it for accleration, but I was cramped inside, and the seat was not designed for guys in the 200lb and above range. I almost passed out from pinching my ******** when I sat down in it. 14lbs of boost stock. Hard to control the stearing when getting on it around corners, and heavy nose plowing when throwing it into a corner. No dramatics when running a straing 1/4 mile run, just shift out of first really really fast. At speeds of 80mph and above there is a terrible whistling effect of the aerodynamics, and by far it is the loudest road noise vehicle that I have driven in a long time, the two convertibles I drove was much less noise on the road. Most impressed by the sound of the motor when getting on it, and at idle, does not sound like a 4 cylinder, and actually has a freakin sweet sound to it. It overall still just felt way to cheap, but I must admit it is by far the biggest bang of the buck.
I am probably going to get a 2004 MR2!

You driven a WRX or STI? AWD makes them nasty through corners and no traction problems from a dead stop. A few year old one is CHEAP now and mods are damn near free. I've got the mods in my sig... and it probably runs high 13s now from a dead stop. Hell I have maybe $1000 in parts in mine now too, larger turbo like the IHI VF34 sell for about $675 new now! That will run ~21lbs to redline if you have the fuel (and huevos) to run that much on a stock roded motor.
