Default Very quick question

6.0 complete from a 04 2500 sierra with about 50,000 miles for 1000 bucks, or a 6.0 block from a 08 tahoe that was wrote off because the whole truck burned for 200 bucks? Is the 08 motor a direct drop in like the 00-07 6.0?

I believe that the 08 has the 58x reluctor wheel on the crank (99-07classic has 24x) as well as the cam sensor reluctor on the sprocket (GENIII is part of the cam itself). The knock sensors are in a different location also...so it isn't a direct swap...I'd go with the 04
