Default Putting a LS2 in my truck, got some questions.

I scored a deal on a low mileage LS2. There was some rust on the cylinder walls but would still turn over. I plan on pulling the rods out, checking the rings and running a hone through it. i've been doing a bunch of searching on ARP rod bolts and im kinda up in the air on using them. ive read mixed reviews on them making the rods out of round. would stock rod bolts have the potential to do the same thing?

The plan is to make a better daily driver/ tow rig(7500lbs)

2000 GMC sierra Z71

LS2 block
stock 243 heads and springs
2000 sierra truck intake and throttle body.
stock 4L60E with vette/overdrive servo, and stock torque converter
3.73
05 radiator and elec fans
K&N intake
Pace setter long tubes with ORY
3" exhaust
Black bear tune

Im still unsure on what cam and injectors to get. I know i want to keep the yellow springs(.550 lift) I have already and the hardened 7.4 pushrods i've had sitting around for a while now. Anyone have any suggestions?

Stick with the stock rod bolts, IMO.

I suggest you go with injectors rated around 42 lb/hr. 31lb/hr 8.1L injectors MIGHT work. That's what I ran with my heads/cam LQ4 and it did fine as far as I know. Never checked injector duty cycle or ran a wideband, sooo...

stock injectors should handle a stock camed motor fine. as for rod bolts, I always say on a stock build, leave the stock rod bolts. on a fresh build throw in some ARP or katech bolts. a machine shop can machine the caps to not go out of round.
