That is a z71 wich features the bulges and the rack, as spy shots have seen before the regular wont have the bulges like the z71 and i like it except the rake is not there anymore and the bed could be longer.

Yeah, seriously...I like the new design. OK, it could have been better but it could have been ALOT worse!!! I'm glad it still has a unique Chevy look, unlike the Dodge and Ford (which look very similar). I don't like the rear design but the side profile and front end is nice. The front is very clean and finished looking, unlike the '03-'06 front. I suspect the SS will not have chrome in the front. That will look hot! Anyways, the new Silverado is one sharp looking truck. I'm surprised it's getting alot of negative comments already. For all of you who don't like it....what did you expect???

The 1999 Silverado preprod photo truck had a roof rack too. I hate roof racks on SUVs. On a pickup they're completely frickin ridiculous.

Personally I think it looks okay. Not sure if I like it just yet. Guessing it'll grow on me like the 03 Silvy's did....*hated* them when they came out...then bought one..

would definitely prefer a full chrome bumper without those painted end plates. Lower front air dam needs to go before a curb takes it off. Needs a leveling kit. Needs to have the hood closed.

Uncertain about the bed bulge... I kind of like the flared front end, but not certain on the bed (though it does need to bulge a bit to match).

With 33's and 2" of lift I think it'd look a lot better.

I too am glad that I bought a new 06. Hopefully for those of you that are going to spend your hard earned money on that , dont end up having that big *** chevy emblem on the tail gate recessed into the metal like some other tailgates like the fords, etc. That thing is bad! This is the worst thing that a ailing company can do, take their flagship vehicle and turn it into every other rice burner looking truck on the road.

Bad Move Chevy!

Are there going to be any differences in the motor setups for new Silverado? It's on an entirely new platform correct?
