Do you think you could post here or PM me the parts you bought to do it? That is the best way for sure. But I figured since I bought the converter connectors (mini to ev6) I would splice and solder to make sure of the money I spent on them. If this doesn't work out or partially works by getting odd data readings in the scanner on the injector duties, then I will cut my losses and do it your way because then it would be one solid core from ECM to connector.

I havent got a PM on it but if he does I can let you know. Looks like you can get the heat shrink in the link above but not sure about the crimpers.
