Default mini delphi to ev6

Any other suggestion on doing mini delphi to ev6 conversion? I have the connector to convert it but they are very hard to keep in one spot on the fuel rail area. I would be open to smaller connectors and or how to wire it up to where i can get rid of the older bulky connector.

You can cut, splice, solder, & heat-shrink the wires, instead of using the connectors.

that would be better and cleaner. Do I need to buy new connectors for the ev6 (ls3 injectors) or can i use the ones I got from FCI and just snip the end for mini delphi and solder them.

If you don't care about trying to sell the conversion harness then snip away. That's what I would do.

Eh not really too tied to the harness. I called FIC today as well where i got the connector. They said as long as i keep the wires going to the same side that they are plugged into, that I could go ahead and snip the ends for the mini delphi and wire straight up to the ev6 connector for a cleaner install. Let me know if there are any objections before i snip away.

Yeah just clip the wires, maybe 4" or so from the EV-6 connector, and kinda right behind the stock one on the car side; twist, solder, heat-shrink.

naw use high quality heat shrink tubes. use adhesive lined if you can find them.

I just found some heat shrink from local parts store. but little late I already have snipped and soldered driver side connectors. I would have to look to see if it is adhesive. Looks a hell of a lot better but hope it works like it is suppose too.

I bought the weatherpack kit ends and the got an inexpensive set of pliers to crimp the pins and seals on the wires. Its handy as now I can build my own weatherpack connections for everything. So for my EV6 ends I just cut the wires as close to the mini as possible, stripped the wires and put my own ends on. No soldering and easy.
