Meth Injection Kit - 2000 Suburban
#1
Thinking about adding a Meth injection kit to my project. Currently have a LQ4 w/ Howard Cam ( 216/224 Lift .550 114 +4) with a Procharger D1SC (4.38 pulley) running about 9 psi. Gives me a solid 440 to the wheels on a safe tune. the 4.56 gears make it fun since I am on 35" tires. Since we had to disable knock sensors during tuning ( kept getting false knock signals) and I live in the Memphis heat, Ive been thinking about adding a Meth injection kit. would like to run about 12-13 psi total ( say keep it under 15 ). Figure adding a kit would help keep it safe running a few more PSI and help get a few more HP's. Any suggestions on which kit? Seems Snow and Alky Control are the 2 favorites. Any specific kit? Should I run pure meth or meth/h20?

I'd say either of those kits would be just fine, it doesn't have to be super fancy.
I'd honestly just run washer fluid that is -20 or -30 because meth is kinda spendy. Last time I looked it up it was like $50 for 4 gallons of boost juice or whatever it's called. The -30 washer fluid is $4 a gallon and does the job good enough.

I really like the alky control kits. Out of all the water/meth kits I've installed that's the only brand I've never had a failure out of.
I also agree with him about using windsheild washer fluid. I ran Peak -30*F fluid (MSDS states it to be 38% methanol) for over 10 years in my turbo truck and it did a very good job keeping everything cool and clean inside engine.

Thanks all, I see Alky Control has a kit that replaces my current windshield washer fluid reservoir. I wonder if that is the way to go or a kit with stand alone 2 gallon reservoir. How long does a gallon usually last? good to know about the -30 wiper fluid. I have about 6 gallons sitting in the garage now.

It really depends on how you drive. Ive gone thru 3 gallons in one day and ive also had 3 gallons last me a few weeks.
I was towing all the time so i was burning thru it pretty often. I had 3 gallon tank in my toolbox and it worked out good..
