Hey. I bought a rods (ls2 style) from Texas the guy who sold me from ls1tech.com. The rod show a dimple on it. He told me that is .945 pin floating not press fit? Is that true? I have hard time to find a nice flat top piston speed pro Hypereutectic aluminum. For my 5.3. I still have stock rods came with 5.3 but its year 2002 on motor. Heard that year 2002 of rods are weaker? That's why I bought dimple ls2 rods. Guys see if ya can help me with a correct piston. Many thanks.

I think the 07+ 5.3 have to same rods you could be get flat top pistons from any of the newer years and yes there a floater rod.
