Yeah- the newer stuff is really gettin' porky...……..

P.S. to the OP- didn't mean to hijack the thread. Don't forget hydraulic motor and cab mounts/ not sure if a hydraulic trans mount exists and torsion bar crossmember mouns……..

7,000's in a 3/4 ton but not a half ton. The google has the answers here guys.

Straight from edmunds on a high county model with all the bells and whistles and 22's, the curb weight is 5,359lbs. We'll give or take 50lbs for the extra displacement on the 6.2. If you add in all your personal junk that doesn't count here.

Curb weight on a 03-05 depending on model is 4,800 to 5,200ish depending on cab and bed size along with 5.3 or 6.0 SS motor.

It seems like some people think that the GVW tag is a scale. Probably the same people that think the mpg indicator shows actual fuel mileage.

Boost by all means. If you cam and header and such you will guzzle gas sitting at a stop light. With a blower having a bypass you only guzzle when you put your foot in it which is pure luxury.
I put 5k on my truck, changed the oil and installed the Radix in 2005 98k miles ago. I run 7psi on the 9.9:1 compression L33 with 3.42:1 gearing and hold off the new trucks. The diesels can be the toughest to shake off though.
The added torque of the Radix supplements the 3.42:1 vs 3:73's and my MPG is near normal if I can keep out of it.
99% of my romping is at Hwy speeds where I dust them off regularly is why I installed the police speed-o cluster. I like to see how small I can make them look in my RVM before I touch 135.
Back in 2005 the Radix install was $5k. I bet its more now.
A blower, a nice flowing Corsa catback for a peaceful in-cabin experience and CAI you might find fun. Have it tuned on a Dyno.

Go ahead and get a transmission ready..............
