Just ordered my 408 and cam from TSP
So, long time coming: I ordered a 408 with 10.2:1 and 224/228 .600 on 114LSA.
This will replace the 5.3/P1/LS9 combo the truck had; made 477.
Original goal was to make 600 on all GM parts: LSA blower, LS9 cam, LY6, ZL1 lid, etc. But that got washed out the window when my LY6 needed a head rebuild, that turned into a motor build when rust in the cylinders was found.
New goal is 700 on E85, flex fuel truck so I intend to take advantage of the alcohol tables in the PCM to run mix too.
New parts from original build:
408 w/ 10.2:1
224/228 114 cam
+1mm intake valves
PAC 1219 springs
LS7 lifters
LS9 gaskets
All ARP hardware
1 7/8 LTs with 3" y to 3.5" past axle (oem 6.2 muff w/ additional 3.5" dynomax bullet)
TVS1900 (ported) with 2.38"
85lb injectors
255 feeding 044 on Hobbs switch
8.25" crank pulley
LSSimple 8 rib drive kit
102mm TB
Should be a fun summer putting it all together! God damn its expensive tho haha.
Hoping to have the most whp/tq of any of the SUVs in town. We'll see.

Blowers like exhaust bias, rectangular port heads are notoriously intake flow heavy compared to exhaust. A typical cathedral setup that's supercharged likes in the 10-12 range for exhaust bias. With rectangular heads it stretches out to 16-18 even. If you look around at ls3 blower cams you will see it's very common. It's to help equal out the flow. This doesn't mean your cam is wrong but I assure you it will pull harder with more exhaust duration. Planned boost and how much rpm you wanna pull will dictate the cam.

i have a very similar build. TSP 408, LS3 heads, Blower, 1 7/8 exhaust... I wouldn't put a Y pipe on that motor. I was trying to fit 2" primary 3.5" collector on my car. couldn't find a header that size that fit so I was forced to step down to a 1 7/8....dual 3" at minimum IMO. hell, I run dual 3" on N/A motors that are 5.7+cubes. dyno proven power. even more power to be gained with a 408 + blower.
as for the cam, I agree with pat on the exhaust bias. my cam was speced from Geoff at EPS and it's a 226/246 .629/.629 118+4. I never would have considered that exhaust duration in the past (this is my first set of square heads)
how much boost do you think the blower will make on the 408?
