Wow, I can't believe you just bitched about that? My mom bought me my first car in HS. It was a 15 year old 1983 ford escort running on 3 spare tires...you gonna tell me I'm spoiled too??
Congradulations on buying your first car but because someone gets their first car from their parents does not make them spoiled. Come out here to LA and I'll show you spoiled, such as a 15 year old driving around a porche boxer, totalling them, and getting a range rover after that. Chill out!

You are full of **** if you are saying you paid every penney for your truck and everything on it. I dont have a problem with it, Im just jealous, I wish I had a nice truck like that when I was 18 but calling everyone out like la black pearl did was in poor taste. I just dont see how an 18 year old can afford a 15K truck then another 5K on mods unless by some illegal methods but its none of my business and could really care less.

Hey man carefull with your words, Im 21 i got my truck brand new in 2004. I have paid for everything out of my pocket (including truck, and mods, and my rims). BTW im also a full time student at University of Texas Pan American (and i also pay for that i dont qualify for financial aid) . RIght now my truck is slow 14.0, but i should be in the low 12's high 11's in about a month, I have been buying all my parts slow. SO by having a full time job and a part time job is how i pay for my truck, my insurance, my school and mods.

BTW at least my truck has not been in jackstands for over a year, im driving mine to work tommorrow.

I thought you were 18 like the other guys that brought up the age deal. I can fully believe you can do it all on your own at age 21 because I am 21 and do it all on my own. My friends dont even know who I am anymore because I work so much. Im slow to call someone out on something like this because I get called out on it all the time with my age and the amount **** I have done to my truck. It was just in poor taste for la black pearl to be like "haha we are 18 and have really nice trucks", he may not have meant it that way at all but its the way it came across and Im not the only one who read it that way. I came from a pretty affluent side of town and NOBODY that I knew had as nice a truck as you guys in HS unless their parents helped them or flat out bought it for them thats why when he said he/they paid for ALL of their truck related stuff that he is full of ****.

The comments on how long my truck has been down dont bother me I have heard it for so long. It has been down for that long because I pay for everything myself(just like you) and it takes a while to get those kind of funds when you do everything top-of-the-line, along with working 70+ hour weeks to fund the project doesnt exactly leave much time to work on it and have a social life. I have a company truck and a nice bike to get around in/on so I dont need my Z71 to get to work

Get ya man, i have the same problems dont have time to go out and drink with my buddies, but i do have a some what nice truck, that will be a lil faster then before. I work about 70+ hours a week and plan to work more this summer. I you would see the kind of trucks HS kids drive, . Here in the valley, we would even modify our bicycles when we were in elementary. ANd im sure Black Pearl did not mean to show off his truck nor his age, cuz i know how hard he works to earn his money.

Respected.
Just think it takes away from what otherwise looks like a unique, labor of love.
