Just let it idle at what it likes. My 231/239 seems to really like 900rpm. I can let it idle 600 but for what reason? It still lopes at 900 but it just is much smoother all around. Coming down to idle, AC, ect.

With the cam in your sig, it will probably like 800 give or take.

Depends what converter you have. 900 rpm idle on a stock converter would be annoying as hell. My mid 220s 6.0 idles at 675 just fine, I honestly never tried anything else but I am confident it would idle at the stock 550 rpm just as good.

Sounds like it can probably come down 200 RPM. Depends on how it effects drivabilty. What's the LSA on that cam? Mine has only 4* of overlap, so it behaves well at something like 750 RPM.

I have a similar cam (or at least had... not sure if he changed after going turbo) and mine is set to 650 or so. It idles great there, nice lope and manners. It does get a little raunchy below 600, but its not horrible. I also agree with the comments about the stock stall... it SUCKS fighting against your engine when coming to a stop etc...

I am gonna get Justin to set it at 800 in gear and see how the truck likes it
Dr.X you got your beast ready for the track yet, we should try and make it out for May Long. All I have left is to get my converter in and put the nitrous in

It's running, and ready for a test drive when winter is done. Still need to install my line lock and a few other things.

Same specs here... but 114+4 and my idle is slightly less. EPS I assume?
