I believe the frame is different from the 1500 LT (Light Truck) and 1500 HD (Heavy Duty), and if im not mistaken the 1500 HD and 2500HD have different frames??

Yes, the frames are stronger the higher you go up the line in series.
The suspensions have a higher load capacity as the series increases as well.

The 1500HD and 2500 light duty, which are the same trucks, have MUCH bigger frames that the light duty 1500s until you get to the rear axle, then they are the same. The 2500HD and 3500 have the big frame going all the way to the back. Go look if you don't believe.
