Ok, I did some checking and here is what I found.....There have been NO proven results of Stock Titan's in the 14s. Some people have claimed this but nothing proven. Also, Road test reports have put the Titan anywhere from low 15s to high 15s in the 1/4 I guess this depends on the location of the test and driver. Like a guy said on the Titan forum, 14s for a stocker sounds a bit optimistic to him. He also said just like the fuel mileage report vary, so do the 1/4 mile times. I guess on a perfect day on a perfect pass it might get a 14.9x but it won't run that time consistantly.

83 Chevy you took the words out of my mouth.....I totally agree with you on why choose a Chevy but would like to add one thing....the aftermarket isn't there yet for the Titan either.

I got to drive my buddys Titan yesterday for a 50 mile trip. The shifting was so smooth you dont even notice it. The ride was fairly smooth but it did have a good bit of wind/road noise. I really didnt like the 5 speed auto, it seems to keep the rpms between 2000-2500 around town and took forever to lock up once on the highway. His has the big towing package so its geared kinda low. It runs 2K @ 70mph. Close to 3.73's.

On the bad side, driving it I noticed crosswinds pushed it around quite a bit and with only 16,000 miles on it with only towing 2500lbs or less a couple times the brakes are shot. They feel spongy and when you do finaly push them down far enough to grab the stearing wheel and truck start shaking all over the place. I really didnt feel safe in that truck with these dumb Maine drivers. I've had to use my breaks to avoid crashing into old people alot and I dont think this truck would have avoided that too well in its current condition.

I noticed the same on the Titan I drove. I do think the 5 speed auto helps there acceleration because the gear ratios are close together. They could also use a good custom tune it felt like mine did before we remove Torque Management.
