getting rid of abs

i had thought about it too but the abs will brake better with it activated than 90% of drivers. you could brake better without it but you would have to have some skill and the brakes would need be dialed in perfect. changing weight on the front and rear would also change characteristics as it would apply more weight over a single axle changing how brake load was applied. imo dont do it . abs can save your life.

or you could completely remove your front brakes and save some weight.
Yeah, I guess there's a reason they have ABS even in racing like SCCA and F1.

haha remove your front brakes what an epic thread.

Anyways as far as abs goes, ask almost anyone up here. More often then not it will cause you to get into an accident then preventing one, abs systems especially on gm trucks are way to sensitive, thats when there working right. Im thinking Im going to keep the unit there but just continue on with the fuse pulled, though I would like to lose the unit to save a bit of weight, and gain some simplicity in the brake system. Does the abs system have any control over the autotrac 4wd system?
