Great topic. Question: so are you using the cam position sensor that was on the LY6? Did your 06 engine have the front cps, or was it behind the intake?

I had to delete the vvt. The kit was a new single bolt for the cam and new timing cover and it had a new cam position sensor. The lingenfelter conversion module had a cam position sensor plug that took in account that the sensor was now on the front of the engine. I have a pending code that keeps coming back randomly p0300. I don’t feel or hear a misfire. I don’t believe I have any vacuum leaks and the plugs and wires are new. I think this code is because I’m using the stock vvt cam but I can’t find anything online to prove that. Otherwise the engine runs great and has a lot more power than the 5.3. I’m at about 6000ft in elevation so it was nice to get some power back. With the tune, the trans is seeming to take the power fine. With how heavy the avalanche is and how much I’ve beat on the trans, I’m surprised it’s still living with 160k on it.
