well I just got of the phone with the stealership, and they said there was a law against transfering mileage and I would have to order a new cluster with the mileage programmed in it, I think there full of sh*t

i work at a dealer

we dont program the mileage

we send them out to a company who rebuilds the GM guage clusters- they wont just do a program- every cluster that goes it comes back fully rebuilt if its not in packing sealed by them

theres alot of laws with it- thats why they dont let us techs just change the mileage.

even if you have a picture- theres thousands of gm trucks out there- whos to say its not a picture of one of them with 15000 miles when your truck has 200,000 miles

im not saying your a scammer- im just saying that theres reasons why they do these things
