Fuel System uprgrade 2002 Flex Fuel
My 255 is dying, losing fuel pressure above 4k, nor regulator related.
Looking to upgrade. Spent 20 mins on the phone with Racetronix. An off the shelf solution doesnt exist for my configuration, he said because I am flex fuel. He suggests a 450, hot wire kit, some plumbing and a new fuel mat. Probably ~$700 in parts I would think.
What are you guys running for fuel? I am going to feed a 700whp-ish 408/TVS1900 combo with -6 lines and regulator. Open to suggestions/opinion.
I do have an 044 for inline use, not afraid to twin pump this pig, but KISS; if 1 pump can do it, what pump is that gonna be?

Will you be running e85? If so that -6 fuel line wont cut it. -10 feed and -8 return is plenty to supply thand corn to the motor. And -8/-8 or -8 feed -6 return will work for pump gas. As far as pumps go the sky is the limit for fuel
pump options, you can run an external/internal, twin pump etc. But they are also dependent on fuel choice

So my original plan was to run my 255 into my 044. The 044 would go to the Aeromotive reg, to the LSA rail and return to the tank off the reg. Pretty basic setup, and been done lots of times.
The only reason I am investigating other options at this point is because my 255 wont last until the 408 is in, and with it dying on just the cam'd 5.3, I dont want to even risk the 408. So if I am going to spend money as is, is there a better option?
You and my tuner say -6 wont cut it, but Racetronix says its fine, and CTS-Vs are breaking 700whp with the factory 3/8 line (-6), but they have 2 pumps.
Everything I own right now is -6, so for the sake of my wallet, I will just stay -6. I may step up to -8 for the feed, but it will still neck down in the reg because the reg is -6 internally.
700 isnt a number set it stone, it might make more

Aeromotive's 340 has a spotty reputation
AEMs 320 has a spotty reputation
My 255 purchased from Racetronix so assumed genuine; lasted 6yrs, ~60kmi
An OEM flex pump has a spotty rep
Walbro 450s are good, cheap pumps but dont outflow 255s by much
So really, I just need to throw a dart at the board and its gonna land closest to what I pick. Doesnt sound like I can go wrong, I'll still be dropping the tank in a few years to replace whatever I pick. Sucks that my current hydramat is not compatible with 11mm Walbro/Holley/Aeromotive pumps. I didnt pay MSRP for it, so I thought they were cheap. bahahaha. What a shell shock that ish was. Hydramat is more than the pump!

Right now, NA LQ9 @ 10.75:1.
I ran the same FF pump, BAP with 60lb injectors when I had my Whipple. Didn't have any issues with it.
Before the BAP, when I pullied down to 10psi, at full throttle fuel pressure was dropping to high-30s. I added the BAP and it never dropped below 50 after that.

Just install a fuel cell and run 1x massive pump... or sump the factory tank and do the suggested..... when my twin pump setup goes, I’ll be installing a single pump off the cell and won’t have to worry about the pumps possibly coming on or dying etc. It will either be on or off

I have an SUV, and I am not a drag racer. A fuel cell isnt what I need (nor what I want to spend my time building), and I am not sure how you guys are sumping plastic tanks. Even then, I dont need more **** hanging below the frame to get ripped off next time I am in the woods (which is every weekend damn near).
I think my path forward as of this morning is to buy an ACDelco Flex Fuel module for my truck (~$220) and install it. It will support all my needs until the 408 goes in, then I will proceed with a twin pump system, having the OE FF pump feeding my 044 in line.
