Well got the engine all torn down and currently at the machine shop for a vat and cam bearings, tonight since I have time and nothing to do I converted my harness that I got with the 5.3 from dbw to dbc.I followed the instructions off lt1swap.com he had alll the schematics that was needed.Instead of running wires to the pcm I used the pins from the tac modgule plug that were already ran to the throttle body so all I gotta do is run 1 extra wire because 7 are needed.Wirings not my strong so I hope I did it right seemed pretty strait forward but I won't know till the motor in and ready to fire up.

You better pull that barbell out the back of the block. No telling what was traped in there...

Once that's out, You can use extensions to drive the plug out the front of the block.

This should be done to remove debris and properly clean the passages.

Also for the price, I would recommend replacing it.

I have used the ACL in the stock rebuilds. I haven't had an issue so far.
