Default Fender flare help

My 2004 CCSB Z71 is in great shape. Except for my fender flares. They are the oem black textured kind that came on the truck from the factory.

Recently the double sided tape has started coming undone.

I had a body shop reapply double sided tape but it only worked for about a month before the fender flares were coming “unstuck” again.

Any tips, tricks, or ideas to get the fender flares to stay in place?

Thanks!!

Sounds like you need to find a different body shop.

what kind of tape did they use? Hopefully they cleaned and prepped both surfaces before tape application.

I assume they did, but I honestly don’t know. I know what they say about assuming as well.

Not much help, I know.

I’m going to take them off myself and try reinstalling them with new 3M tape.

If that doesn’t work, I have some new ones on the way.

Use the 3M VHB tape. Its much stronger then the standard double side tape.
