Default Electrical Problems

I'm having electrical problems in my truck. When I turn on my head lights or when they automatically do, my entire dash goes out. This includes the speedo and dimmer function and all the lights of the radio. I took it to this body shop and I still owe him some $ for the work and he told me everything was working and he would fix it...but its not! I plan on still taking it back to the guy but can someone at least help locate the problem or know what it might be?

I'm guessing fuse? But I literally have no experience on any electrical whatsoever.

Yea, not a fuse...sounds like a bad dimmer switch or possible connection to it...it's integrated into the headlight switch assembly
