drilled and sloted rotors worth it?

so i need to do my brakes and money is tight, but i could swing some drilled and slotted rotors, with stock calipers. worth it? if so whats a good brand?

They look nice... I wouldnt get ones that are actually drilled, more often then not they will crack.
they say slotted helps cool them off and clean the pads.
If you can get slotted and dimpled for slightly more i would do it but dont break the bank for them.
you also want to look at coating, are you worried about them getting rusted?

I would only do it if you go to a plus size rotor with a caliper relocation bracket. Should give you a little better stopping. If you're going with stock size I'd just go with OEM...they last forever. 163,000 miles on my truck and I'm still on the original rotors and only my second set of pads.

:stupid: like thunder said get the drilled and slotted rotors but get the plus size ones make a bigger differance then the stock size drilled and slotted
and if thats out of your price range then just get a stock set with a good set of pads.
if you really wanted to you could do these:devil:

yes the kit comes with a new hanger, everything bolts up the same, you need 18" rims or bigger though, depending on the kit

There's a guy over on GMFS who makes them. The problem that I've heard with the Vette brakes is that they use 6 individual brake pads that are very expensive and don't last long in a Vette, much less in a truck that weighs almost twice as much.

Slotted and cross drilled rotors are waaaayyyyy worth the coin!!! It will eliminate the warpage that the OEM rotors are notorious for.

I have a set on my truck that i got off of ebay for like180-200 shipped for all 4. Worth the money. I have cross drilled rotors on my truck.
