so a stall more then double the stock stall speed and "it drove close to stock"?
was you high every time you drove that thing?
4400 stall and awesome gas mileage to impressive! my m12 zo6 3.90 h/c/i bolt'on 10 second summer daily only gets 22/23mpg on the highway lol (11.21 is n/a i have a button to)
i've had a few stalls and drove a bunch of friends cars and any thing over 3k does not have stock manners or even close to it, im not saying it cant be done in a daily but dont tell me a 4400 stall had stock like manners lol

In defense of the 4400 rpm stall comment, car vs truck, gear ratio, stall vs stall there are many differences in how they drive. Wether it be stall design resulting in the converters slip and torque manipulation or weight and gearing in general. That being said I wouldn't run that big of a stall in my daily driver / tow pig.
Depending on your cab configuration (weight) and weight of trailer you'll appreciate an aftermarket stall vs stock to get things rolling. Tuning the shift points, lockup, and rate of lockup will make an appreciable difference.
Keeping it moving at speed lower gears with the 4 speed transmissions is helpful.
I've used Yank, PRecision and Circle D converters and been happy with all after speaking with them and taking their recommendations.

Car had a low STR (1.63 STR IIRC), drove very tight and was tame. Started life as a Yank SY3500. Life is all about perception. What someone finds tolerable, you may find unbearable. The converter that seemed the worst initially was a non lock up 3000 I had in a Camaro I drove in high school. I got used to it and it didn't really bother me.
Car in my sig was my daily driver for several months, ran 10.7 - 10.8 n/a. Had a "button" too, gap insurance. Never used it at the track. Had one too many run ins with then new C6 Z06s from a roll, too close for comfort. Installed a hidden dry kit from the Nitrous Outlet. As for fuel mileage, hand calculated was 17-18 mixed driving to and from work in Orlando. One of my highway trips was to Bradenton, raced, ran 10s, drove it home. 22+ MPG that particular trip.
