i would due 4.10's but its really up to you the lower you go on the gear ratio the more mpg you will loose and you will loose that top end you have with those 3.42's , gears due not make power they just transfer power from top end to low end and viseversa!

If you like to go more than 134mph in 3rd gear get 3.73's. If you are some what sane and don't care about the top end get 4.10

I just put 4.11's in mine and I'm still getting 18mpg. I might be able to get better if I could keep my damn foot out of it though.

I also have an L33 2005 silverado, and I also have 3.42.... I can get it to squeal the tires and I also have a diablosport. I put magnaflow exhaust and got a diablew tune.... I also have a 40K cooler and hd2. Only other thing I did was a volant powercore CAI. It seem TM could be the problem at least it was holding my truck back some. Now I run 50%tm and it runs fine for me. On a wet road I need to be careful I don't lose control.... Let me know and I can do some checking with the stock tune to see if that helps or not.

Other than getting a real custom tune? I have no idea. Do you know what "Sport Tune" consists of? how much timing does it command and how much AFR? Does it remove the PE Delay?
