Does anyone know the part # for the daytime running light bulb?
 

One on the passenger side seems to keep going out.

Does anyone have the part #? Also, I have heard about putting dielectric grease in the bulb socket to increase bulb life? any truth to this? thanks!

from the factory the they put 3157. change to a 3156 it has only one element and won't burn as hot. if it burns out again that means you need to change the socket "pig tail" . but allways run 3156. :)

oh ok, I see, hmm, 3157's are the ones I just replaced my rear brake lights with. Do you think they would have the 3156's at autozone?

Those damn bulbs always burned out on me too. When you're buying new ones at Pep Boys or whatever get some dielectric grease and put it on the little metal wire contacts. I still use the 3157's and I've been running the same bulbs for about a year (and counting)...The best part is it's only $1 for a little tube of grease.

3157's are brake light, backup light, turn signal front and rear, and DRL's.

I had the stock DRL's in my truck for about 3 years before one finally burned out.

yup!! but when they doo they seem to burn out all the time after that.

Are you guys sure your DRL's are really burning out? I put in the orange Silverstars and they went out, but I wiggled the light in the socket and pulled it back out a tiny bit and it came back on. Maybe the socket just gets loose?

there are two different #'s. what year and model. i'm sitting at the gm parts computer, i can look it up.
