Does anyone know the part # for the daytime running light bulb?
One on the passenger side seems to keep going out.
Does anyone have the part #? Also, I have heard about putting dielectric grease in the bulb socket to increase bulb life? any truth to this? thanks! |

Those damn bulbs always burned out on me too. When you're buying new ones at Pep Boys or whatever get some dielectric grease and put it on the little metal wire contacts. I still use the 3157's and I've been running the same bulbs for about a year (and counting)...The best part is it's only $1 for a little tube of grease.

3157's are brake light, backup light, turn signal front and rear, and DRL's.
I had the stock DRL's in my truck for about 3 years before one finally burned out. |

Are you guys sure your DRL's are really burning out? I put in the orange Silverstars and they went out, but I wiggled the light in the socket and pulled it back out a tiny bit and it came back on. Maybe the socket just gets loose?
