Don't get yourself to down on the times, you gotta start somewhere. Do some reading on this site, find out what works and what doesn't.

IMO, I would put some boost on that 6.0L and forget about getting a diesel.

Do you have a tune? Those factory 6.0l run crap timing (little), adding some timing and adjusting the fueling will really wake the truck up!!

Those 22's are killing your performance.

As for the tune, I think a dyno tune would be more accurate and it would give you a better overall tune. I'm looking at a dyno tune in the near future as well.

But pick up some stock tires and rims for the track- You'll probably be in mid15's with just the tire swap.

Hell, for a CC 2500 w/ 22's, I am surpised you ran THAT well.

I have a 1500 with an intake, exhaust, programmer and ran 16.6 but that was with my tonneau cover on, tailgate, and step bars so I prolly could be in the high 15's.

But if you want, go with a custom tune, that will wake your truck up. Or if you had the money to buy 22's, you had the money for a S/C but didnt think of it...

smaller rims and spray the **** out of it.

that the only way you will drop 2 seconds cheap.

supercharger = $6K

that servo/tune might get you .5 quicker... maybe a little more? not very much tho.

I say leave the big pimpin rims on there! You'll give up a little ET, but you'll get more time on the track

There are several good Houston based LS1 performance shops.

Spend a little time in the Texas section on LS1tech ( https://ls1tech.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=54 ) and find one you like.

As mentioned, don't get too down on your track time, 16 flat is where your truck should be considering it's weight and your wheels. My truck ran 16.5@82.7 mph with bolt ons, no tuning, and 33" all terrain tires. A cam and tuning got the same truck down to 15.6@89.5 mph...15's are nothing, but the improvement was awesome, that's when you feel good about what you've done
