Does that only work if at operating temp( or will a cool motor show that) ?

I didn't even know there was a sensor on overflow tank. But, right after winter when the street was dry, I noticed a wet area 6" in diameter under tranny. I thought, great! Almost paid off, & major repair starts. I already know tranny has small tailshaft bush'g leak. I climb under, appears red. I believe Dexcool & tranny fluid are both red.

Anyway, I had to add ~1/2 Gal. antifreeze. It's never used any what-so-ever. Seemed to occur after hammerin' on it. It's low again. At later date I check. Under my cold air I find what I believe it is. Top fitting on radiator. I still have to verify. What is the sensor p/n out of curiousity? Let us know what you find.

well guys, dont i feel like an ***. apparently what i found last night was spillage, didnt think i spilled that much... but i guess so. i got out there today and made sure everything was nice and dry.. went out and beat on it... opened the hood and everything`s still dry.insult to injury, i was pissed about my truck shifting at 5grand at wot. so i manually shifted(which i try not to do for this reason, but end up doing because im an idiot)brought first up to 5500,shift, it hits the limiter and sliiiiiiiips into second, smooth. on top of that, when i had it home checking things out... i dscovered what i think is an oil leak. its litterally bubbling out(very slowly) from between the block and that cover thats under the intake, i dont know what its called. i just happened to be checking there because i had read that those coolant tubes sometimes crack.so the search goes on.

Crawl under and see if it's wet behind the power steering pump. If it is, then it's the water pump gasket.
