was wondering what all ls motor parts can be swapped out? for added performance. i have stock 5.3 in my sierra. if this thread has already been made my appologize i seached and came up with nothing

read up! A lot of parts can interchange with the 5.3, the ones I notice a lot are LS1 and LS6 parts. most aftermarket street cams will work on almost all LS engines, from a 4.8 to a 6.2...doesn't mean you should or that they always work well but they can...figure out clear goals such as making X amount of power or running X.XX time at the dragstrip and you'll be better off figuring out which parts will work best for your wants and needs.

well this is gonna be a street truck, no track time. plans are to run a 150 shot on the motor. my goal is to build as much power for least amount of money. im currently having a turbo'd lq4 motor built, but its gonna be a very slow process so looking to do so in expensive mods to my stock 5.3 on a 150 shot nitrous. the guy building my lq4 is very knowlwdgable but SUPER effin busy and is kinda a dick,lol so hes not the ideal guy to be asking question about, im jsut gettin in the motor aspect of the performance world. kinda looking for proven performance increased parts swaps

I have a 5.3 extended cab. I have a cam I havent installed yet, but I would start with the tranny. A higher stall converter and shift kit is going to be the best bang for your buck, not to mention give you more life with that 150 shot.
