Default Bad Shift Solenoids?

Heres some of the problems ive had since i got my trans.. if i manually shift it to second and then shift to third, sometimes it doesnt up shift.. Now the problem i have that started the other day after i got off the dyno. It was in 3rd gear then all of a sudden I had nothing but first gear. So i parked it were i used to work.. then came up the next day and everything worked fine, but didnt drive it much, just around town. Now today ive been drivin it around town and everything seemed to work great I go to take some stuff out of town and my trans shifts to 3rd all of a sudden. I turn around and wouldnt shift out of first, i make a turn on a dirt road and 1/4 mile down the road it shifts straight to 3rd, converter locks, then i make another turn to head to my shop and it does the same thing eventually shifting to 3rd, then i get to a stop sign and then all i have is 1st gears 2 miles back to my shop. Now all i have is park, neutral and 1st..no reverse. wondering if this could be bad solenoids?? or what else could it be??
