Default ASAP!! guys i need help with tire size!!

My truck has a 2-4" drop and I just bought a new set of 22" by 9.5. I just came from a tire shop and size 305/40/22 doesn't fit. my trucks too low..
I'm basically finding out what size would fit the best, if i want to make the rear tires look thicker than the front. i thought 305/35/22 at the back and 285/35/22 at the front. What do u guys think?

You're going to have to be a little more specific about where the fitment issues are, and why the 305/40-22's don't work. Are they too tall? Too wide? Where is there contact and/or rubbing? Do you have any pics?

Use this calculator to figure out the outside diameter of different tires sizes:

Tirecalc

How much more room than the 305/40's do you need?

the 305/40's doesnt have any clearance from the back and front fender. it's probably a quarter of an inch touching. but from the tire to the wheel well it does have space.

I had both tire sizes. nitto 285/35/22 have an overall diameter of 29.88 inches. I now have pirelli 305/35/22's with an overall diameter of 32.6 inches now. My rims are 6.5 inches wide with a 6.25 backspacing.

285's had no rubbing issues at all. The 305's have rubbing issues when hitting dips on the freeway or steep driveways only in the front. Traction is awesome with the 305's pirelli's.

You can come over my house thursday night and check out my Pirelli's I have with my drop. At my parents house till thursday for work and have no pics. How much are you paying for tires? and what brand?

I'm with Fogle on this one. Either of those sizes would fit good and you wouldn't have problems with rotating front to back because of different widths.
