anyone try no power steering?

just like the title says... any of you guys ever try driving your truck around without power steering??

Yeah, I have. I recommend not trying it unless you're 6'8" and 280lbs of muscle. Lol.

Even then it kicked my butt in parking lots. I actually bent/twisted the intermediate shaft.

I drove mine for a couple weeks with no ps and it sucked but I was on big heavy chrome 20x10 and 33x13.5 super swampers.. It prolly wouldn't be so bad running narrow light fronts... But idunno

If you wanna drop a little coin, madman can sell a complete kit to convert over to manual steering. He used my truck as the gunnie pig to make it and now can basically sell you a bolt on kit. It uses a nice billet rack from Flaming River too.

Knowing Madman's prices (his work is excellent) you might be looking at $1100.

Your prob not going to have good results using a power set up with out power. Get you a manual box, you could do it.. However it will be a pita when trying to turn while not moving. While moving it isn't that big of a deal..
