The first place I would look is for are the coolant crossover tubes for signs of leaking. Did you do a TB bypass?

chevysten 04-14-2010 02:55 AM

Yea I did the bypass.I changed all the steem vent little gaskets.I checked and I dont have any leaks.I'll check it out in the morning.Thats why I filled it with water 1st so if I have to drain it,its just water.Any other ideas??Mike

you have air in the cooling system. pump the top radiator hose, and i mean pump. it will take a while.

+1, yep, you probably got an air pocket when you cracked the cooling system open

winner.

did you swap water pumps with the intake swap, or just put in a spacer and turn the neck?

chevysten 04-15-2010 01:26 PM

Yea I swapped water pumps.I used an 07 escalade 6.2 water pump. The neck comes out at an angle so it misses the throttle body.Well the stat was sticking so I replaced it and rerouted my vent tube to the top rad hose and all is good now.Now fix a header exhaust leak and a retune and I'll be good to go,for now lol!!!! Thanks for the help guys,Mike
