added another truck

Just got this one yesterday. Its a 1997 with a 4.3L and a 5 speed. Needs a few minor things like a pass mirror, a new belt, a couple bulbs. Also need some center caps for these wheels. Anyone know how many cat converters this truck suppossed to have, this one has none.LOL. The plan is to swap in a 350 or maybe a 4.8L. Really want to do the 350 swap. What all would I need besides the motor? Would it bolt up to the 5 speed. Who knows about the harness, I quess I would need a 5.7 harness and computer right? Makes my 04 seem really fast. My wife wants me to sell the 85 now, but my son says thats his truck.

Awesome truck man. Personally I would do the 4.8L swap.

97's only had 1 cat.

I always liked that color, wish they would offer it on the new trucks.

Thanks for the info. I love the color too, I have to fix a few small dings and chips in it.
