70mph @ 2000 rpm ok?
 
hi,
just got my '05 RCSB with 5.3 and i was doing 70mph@2000rpm, so is that hi or low?

also can any one calculate my rear end ration based on this? tires are 265/70/17

i turn 2000 @ 70 all day long in both of my trucks.
08 has a 6spd and 4:11s
94 has 4spd with 3:42s

Why not look up the gear ratio RPO in glove box?

yes 2k at 70 is normal. i would also guess 3.73 gears depending on the tire size.

2k at 70mph is 3.73, unless you have tires that are way different than stock.
