Default 5.7 Hemi to a LQ4 Turbo swap in my Ram

Looking for opinions on this conversion, don't think it's been done yet.

Anyway my engine is getting a little high in mileage and I'm tired of driving an automatic so here are my thoughts.

Ram SRT10 T56 trans, pedal assembly, master cyl, cross member, driveshaft and rear end (should all be bolt on)

F-body bellhousing

LQ4 engine with all the wiring etc

Then a turbo and tune with HPT

Only part of the puzzle missing are the motor mounts

I might get some haters but for one, doing a manual swap in a 3rd gen is entirely to complicated and then tuning options are not the greatest plus the stock hemi doesn't care to much for high boost.

I'm interested. You will probably have to cut out some motor mount adapter plates. That is what I had to do when I swapped a small block chevy in my 03 truck. I ran that for a couple years and the plates held up fine. Sounds like a fun build. Keep this thead pic heavy!!

That should be a sweet project!!!

Theres a company out there that sells the plates, isolators, and engine plates.. basically just get the engine in and see where the plates fall and weld/bolt them in.

I say do it! I have seen a couple of Dakota swaps on Tech and they came out really clean.
